It really is April fools today. Savanna and I headed up to the ranch this morning clear blue skies no wind ( a miracle!!!), passed a heard of Bighorn sheep by the red rocks, a million deer in "deer alley", a moose chomping on willows, golden eagle contemplating on a fence post, & I was so grateful to live in this beautiful place where every day I can enjoy nature in its pure and most honest form. As we got closer to the ranch I watched the thermometer drop to 6 degrees and almost skidded off the road. Is it really April 1st? Mother nature is playing her dirtiest trick on all of us here who are waiting with bated breath for the chinook winds to wind their way through our souls, warm our core from this very long, cold, beautiful, but very long winter.
Things are going well here at the Triangle C Ranch. We are remodelling our bathrooms in the main lodge, building a spa room downstairs, Putting in a swim spa, Remodeling all of the cabins with new linens, light fixtures, lamps, and extra goodies. So if you haven't heard of us check it out at www.trianglec.com. Of course things are weird now that dad is gone but everyday we get a glimpse of him, whether it be someone calling to say how much they loved him, laugh hysterically when we recall many of the great pranks he pulled, or come across pictures of what the ranch used to look like and realize how hard he worked to make this wonderful place. Triangle C will succeed in its endeavors to be great because it was put together with nothing but faith in dreams, belief in something greater, and hope for brighter better lives. Once again I find myself grateful to be part of such wonderful works, such an incredibly vibrant family, living in the most inspiring beautiful place on earth ( even if it is 6 degrees out!!!) I think I'll go cross country skiing and enjoy the weather. Heehee
